Welcome Back

Following the recent developments in the UK’s response to COVID-19 and London’s designation as Tier 4 from the 16th of December we will once again be operating our takeout service The Angel Of Home.

We will be operating a takeout service for both booze and alcohol on Thursdays-Sundays, including our burger Thursdays, Fish and Chip Fridays and Sunday Roasts. As our menu is ever changing please check our social media for updated menus. For our alcohol menu please check our shop or for full list of draught our untappd profile.

A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO RELAX WITH FRIENDS  IN THE HEART OF BOW

When we started our East London journey, we took an old (rather dilapidated!) 1930’s Public House and refurbished it to the highest of standards, in a site that for many years served as one of the East End’s best-known music venues.

We are aiming to offer the whole package – great food and drink, a beautiful setting, warm service and – above all – genuine care and hospitality!

The Angel of Bow is a privately family-owned public house with a pretty beer terrace, wood burning stove, a daily-changing menu and exciting craft beers: we specialise in and are passionate about East London Breweries.

…plus a great wine list and the World of Whisky: beautiful whiskies from all around the world!

For the love of food

Every day for our constantly changing seasonal menu – within a relaxed yet bustling and friendly atmosphere – the chef prepares and cooks fresh meals to order. Nothing is bought in and we pride ourselves on our attention to detail.

We have some firm favourites that always figure on our menu: Fish and Chips and 8oz Rib-eye steak, cut and cooked to order. 

Our other dishes are decided upon on the day – whatever is fresh in the market comes to The Angel of Bow for that day. 
Seafood is one of our specialities, and being a stone’s throw from Billingsgate market is a great advantage to our kitchen! 

We are also unique in that we are returning to the traditions of the East End by serving freshly shucked Maldon oysters. Buy one or half a dozen – – the choice is yours but the taste is always delicious!

Our menu can be best described as modern British pub food.

All of our meats are supplied by local purveyors and all other produce is carefully sourced from respected producers, and locally sourced wherever possible.

Our kitchen closes at 9pm but Sunday Roast is served until 8pm on a Sunday – the chefs need at least a little daylight! – and reopens at 5pm on a Wednesday for Dinner.

We serve our amazing Roasts from 1pm to 8pm every Sunday.

Roast Beef
Slow roast shoulder of Lamb
Half of free range chicken 
Free Range Belly of Pork served with crackling 
And occasionally Game, Guinea Fowl  and Duck

We always serve a vegetarian and a vegan option: with wonderful Mushroom and Squash Wellingtons.

All our roasts are accompanied with a homemade Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and seasonal vegetables with traditionally made gravy.
